Tattoos

It seems like most people I know have tattoos and most of them I graduated with from high school and people in my family. It seems like the people I went to school with, after they graduated, they got tattoos and changed. My sister is officially ink'd, as she likes to call it. I'm actually thinking about getting one, but right now, I want to take care of a few things at home before I get one and I want to get a part time job to pay for it. The trouble will be deciding what to get, because I don't want to be like some people who get the logo for their fave musician tattooed on them or get a tattoo I'll regret. I want to get something that represents me.

Here are some of the possible ideas:

Outline of the island of Ireland with Ireland on a band across it and the Irish flag as the design. Basically have the outline of the island of Ireland with the design of the flag on it and across it on a white band say Eire or Ireland. I'm Irish in heritage, so it explains alot.....

Another idea for possible tattoo is something Asian, to reflect the interest I have in that culture. A puzzle I recently finished was from this famous tattoo artist named Ed Hardy, who in reality is a French dude named Christian Audigier. Anyway, the puzzle is of a Geisha girl.

Basically, I would get the Geisha Girl and that's it, right on my leg. I wouldn't get the dragons or the flowers or the blue and yellow background, just the geisha girl.

Or just some Chinese inscriptions for:
Love
Family
Strength
Peace
Faith

Hope
Courage

Serenity

Tranquility
Maybe all these on my leg so that way I can see it. Because tattoos are permanent, so why get a tattoo you will regret?

And maybe on the ribbon have it say Hope and Strength, or Courage and Strength, or for something really funny, have it say "I kicked breast cancer's a--!" but since I have never suffered breast cancer, that won't work. So if I get this one, I'm thinking Hope and Strength because breast cancer runs in my family

Dream jobs

Oh yeah! Dream Jobs! I know everyone out there in the blogosphere has that dream job that they dream of landing! For me, dream jobs consist of:
  1. Tattoo Artist
  2. Writer
  3. Bartender
  4. Jewelry Maker
  5. Dancer
  6. CD Cover Designer
  7. Graphic Designer
  8. World Traveler
  9. Photographer
  10. Teacher
  11. Artist
  12. Business owner
Those are just some of the dream jobs I have. It doesn't go in any certain order or anything, just listing ones I like. Tattoo Artist would be a cool job because if you really think about it, tattoos almost tell a story. A writer, definitely cool. I'm creative in that sense, I love to write short stories, I've never published them or anything, I usually just write short stories because they're fun and I guess I have an overactive imagination, which for the field I'm in definitely is not bad. Bartender would be cool because you can entertain while serving patrons really awesome drinks. Photography has always been an avid fascination of mine, so if I couldn't find a job as a Graphic Designer, Photography, baby! I love taking picures, I'm a massive picture hoarder basically, I have a lot of pictures of family that I love putting in scrapbooks and stuff. Traveling allows you to explore the vast lands of our world and explore rich, indulgent cultures, and explore new lands. And if I were to open a business, it would be a retro/vintage store, the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s are making a comeback and they are finding a new generation with the younger crowds. Younger people nowadays are beginning to discover bands like The Grateful Dead, Aerosmith, The Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, etc. Younger people are beginning to discover the treasures of the 1960s, 70s, 80s, etc, at least I call them treasures, not sure what everyone else may call them. But I'm kind of a dreamer I guess, and there is alot of stuff I"d looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove to do in this short little lifetime of mine, I mean, no one lives forever, so during my time here on Earth I'd love to accomplish everything I can. Live life to the fullest is one of my many mottos.

Not too long ago, on Facebook, someone put a 30 day photo challenge thing on there and this person had everyone putting 15 facts about themselves on it, well here's 15 facts about myself for those who read this:

  1. My mom's convinced I'm a reincarnated hippie
  2. The Rolling Stones and The Beatles are my 2 fave 60s British rock bands
  3. In my eyes, Mick Jagger is the sexiest man alive to come out of England! And if I were his exact age, I'd marry him in a heartbeat if he asked! Sorry, but for being 67 years old, he sure does have a sexy body still!!!!!
  4. I, for some reason that's still unknown to me, find Asian, Italian and English men totally sexy!!!
  5. I have a stepdad named Greg, a mom named Brenda, a dad named Steve and a sis named Jessie
  6. In my spare time, I love to read. If I don't have a book to read or something to read, I lose my marbles and go nuts from boredom!
  7. I'm a huge art nut. I love art of all sorts
  8. Someday, I would love to live in 1 of 5 places: England, China, Italy, Japan, Australia
  9. I want to learn a foreign language other than Spanish
  10. I want to fall in love
  11. I want to get a tattoo
  12. I want to travel the world
  13. I'm only 5'8'' tall
  14. People say when I was younger I looked like Bette Davis because of my blonde hair.
  15. I'll listen to virtually any music except for rap/hip hop. I absolutely refuse to listen to that insane headache causing music!!!!
  16. I want to go to a concert before I die for someone I actually listen to!
  17. I'm a huge fan of flip flops
  18. If you were to try and find me in the town of Bellevue, Ky, where I live, you would most likely find me at home either A. cleaning the house with the windows open and see me jamming out to The Rolling Stones singing right along with Mick Jagger, B. sitting on the front porch reading a book about The Beatles that I own or C. Sitting on the front porch reading a book about The Rolling Stones.
  19. I can be very chatty at times and other times, be just downright silent as the grave. It's because I'm a rather shy person and don't like talking much.

Weekend/random thoughts

Weekend/Random thoughts: Yes, the title is what it is, my weekend and just little random thoughts flying around. I'm not sure if you can put pictures on this thing, but I'll give it a try. Sorry if the link doesn't work.

This is what I watched Friday night, for some odd reason, my dad wanted to watch it too and he kept cheering Jet Li on whenever he fought in the movie as if Jet Li was going to hear him, That basically was the highlight of my weekend. And I also got to buy something with some of my birthday money-- it may not sound interesting to others, but I bought a CD of this R&B singer Aaliyah, her I Care 4 U album, it has this really awesome song called Try Again, I'm totally addicted to it and I'm definitely going to buy this movie, I'm a megahuge fan of Jet Li, he's really sexy, and a totally hot Chinese actor! I love his sexy brown eyes! And last night, my sister watched a Green Day concert on TV and my dad said Billy Joe Armstrong had a filthy mouth because he kept saying the F word alot and it was obviously turning my sister on, but then again, she has a thing for Billy, she thinks he's cute, she loves the way he dresses, his tattoos, everything!

Tattoos

Tattoos:  I'm not sure if anyone else out there is like me, but I'm really thinking about getting a tattoo soon. Maybe Chinese or Japanese calligraphy. The reason for this choice of tattoo is because I find Asian art beautiful and Chinese/Japanese calligraphy/writing very interesting!

I recently came up with some interesting ideas for tattoos, if I ever get one, it will have to be something Asian, those designs always make cool tattoos.
